SGMICRO has introduced the SGM840xQ, a bidirectional ultra-precise current amplifier that
meets automotive specifications and features a high PWM suppression, with an input voltage range from -4V to 80V.
This device can be applied in automobiles, motor control, solenoid valve and valve control, power management,
actuator control pressure regulators, and telecommunication equipment.
The SGM840xQ is a bidirectional, fixed-gain, voltage-output current amplifier specifically designed for
the automotive industry. It features high PWM suppression performance and a wide common-mode voltagerange from -4V to 80V.
Its high PWM suppression capability can effectively suppress the impact of
large common-mode transients (ΔV/Δt) at the input terminal on the output voltage,
which is crucial for applications such as motor drivers and solenoid valve control systems
that employ pulse width modulation (PWM) technology. Additionally, its negative common-mode
voltage function enables the device to operate normally when the voltage is below the ground line,
which is extremely beneficial for typical application scenarios such as the flyback period of solenoids.
These characteristics together ensure the accuracy of current measurement.
The device supports single power supply ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V and has
a low power supply current consumption of 1mA (typical value). The SGM840xQ offers three fixed-gain options: 20V/V, 50V/V,
and 100V/V to meet the requirements of different applications.
It adopts environmentally friendly SOIC-8 and TSSOP-8 green packages and has passed the AEC-Q100 certification,
making it suitable for various automotive applications.
The wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C ensures reliable performance in extreme environments.
