The SGM41570 is Sinopower’s first NVDC architecture, high-efficiency, high-current, and adjustable voltage DC-DC converter IC designed for 1-4 cell battery charging applications, aiming to provide a high-efficiency and low-component-count solution.

The SGM41570 supports multiple input sources, including traditional adapters, USB adapters, and high-voltage USB PD sources. In the absence of an external power source, the chip can switch to OTG mode, with an adjustable output voltage of 3V to 20.56V and a resolution of 8mV. When the USB OTG port is not connected to any external load and the system relies solely on battery power, the chip enables VMIN active protection (VAP) to ensure device safety. The device can monitor adapter current, battery current, and system power. When system power exceeds the power that the adapter and battery can provide, the device can generate a programmable nPROCHOT pulse signal to remind the CPU to take power management measures to prevent overloading.
