SGM Microelectronics has released the SGM48536xQ, a single-channel, high-speed, low-side gate driver that can withstand negative input voltage. This device is suitable for driving power MOSFETs and IGBTs in automotive applications such as PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistors, motor drives, and DC/DC converters.
The SGM48536xQ is a single-channel, high-speed, low-side gate driver designed to drive power MOSFETs and IGBTs. It features a high output current capability (4A peak source current and 8A peak sink current for asymmetric drive) and a low propagation delay (18.5ns typical). The device also includes an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) function. The operating voltage range is 9V to 25V for the SGM48536BQ and 13.5V to 25V for the SGM48536CQ.
The SGM48536xQ features an independent asymmetric output structure, which improves the device’s immunity to parasitic Miller effects and reduces ground bounce. The device is packaged in a lead-free, green SOT-23-6 package that meets the AEC-Q100 standard, making it suitable for automotive applications.
