Sgmicro has introduced the SGM832A, a bidirectional current and power monitor with an I²C-compatible interface for high-side or low-side measurements.
This device is suitable for communication equipment, servers,
battery chargers, power management, test equipment, power devices, and laptops.
The SGM832A is a 16-bit ultra-high precision current, voltage,
and power monitor with I²C and SMBus-compatible interfaces and alarm functions.
It operates over a wide common-mode voltage range from 0V to 36V and a single power supply range from 2.7V to 5.5V.
The device offers three operational modes: continuous mode, trigger mode, and power-down mode to reduce quiescent current.
Programmable averaging time and conversion time provide flexibility to meet various application timing requirements.
It also integrates an alarm function with configurable priority.
The SGM832A is available in environmentally friendly MSOP-10 and TDFN-3×3-10L green packages,
and it operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
