SGMicroelectronics has launched the SGM2079xQ, an automotive-grade 1A, low-noise, wide bandwidth,

high PSRR, low dropout linear regulator. This device can be applied in automotive applications,
PLL/VCO/RF circuits, and audio equipment.

The SGM2079xQ is a linear regulator that combines low noise, high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), and low voltage drop. It can provide up to 1A of output current while maintaining a typical dropout voltage of only 130mV. This regulator also has other features such as logic-controlled shutdown mode, short-circuit current limit, and thermal shutdown protection. The SGM2079xQ also has an automatic discharge function that can quickly discharge VOUT in the disabled state. It adopts an environmentally friendly TDFN-3×3-8JL green package and complies with the AEC-Q100 standard, ensuring its applicability in the field of automotive electronics. In addition, the SGM2079xQ has a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +125°C), enabling it to work stably in extreme environments.
